What is the benefit of the Fat bike?
The fat bikes represent an evolution of the traditional mountain bikes, designed to arrive where the mtb cannot reach: the increased section of the tire allows absolute grip, while the low pressure (which can vary from a 0.5 to 2, 0 bar) allows you to "float" on soft surfaces (such as snow, mud or sand) or particularly bumpy.
How many km do you travel with a charged battery?
Depending on the model, this value can vary from 40 to 120 km. Some important variables can negatively influence the total distance, among these: tire pressure, correct brake pad distance, driver weight, any additional weights, battery age, route quality and slope, etc.
Do you sell only online?
No. It is possible to buy directly in our office.
How long does it take to recharge?
The charging time is approximately 4/5 hours.
Are they safe?
Sure. Even if avoiding the risks always depends on the cyclist, the electric bike in an urban center is able to reach a safe speed in a very short time thanks to its acceleration. This can be very useful in a traffic light or an intersection. Moreover, they have a low center of gravity and this allows them to be much more stable than a traditional bike.
What speed does the electric bike reach?
Depending on the model of electric bike, the speed can vary from regular 25 km / h to 55 km / h and even higher.
What guarantee does an electric bike have?
Under normal conditions of use, storage and maintenance, the manufacturer offers a 2-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship on the entire bicycle and 1 year for electrical components.
Can they have an accelerator?
Some manufacturers allow the installation of an accelerator on their electric bikes. In these cases, the engine is started by an accelerator or a handlebar mounted trigger. Even if the use of an accelerator offers some advantages (and also serious drawbacks), its use is limited to private roads, being the owner's responsibility to use it on public roads.
Do they need maintenance?
They don't need maintenance. The electric part of the bicycle does not require periodic maintenance, only the motors mounted in the wheel hub require some mechanical adjustments.
Do I need a license, insurance or helmet to drive an electric bike?
The electric bikes approved as such are those that carry out the European Directive 2002/24 / EC, which explains the features that assisted bicycles should have. In essence, the bikes are equipped with an auxiliary electric motor, with a maximum continuous power of 0.25 kilowatts, whose power gradually decreases and finally stops when the vehicle reaches 25 km / h, or sooner if the cyclist stop pedaling.
If the vehicle meets these characteristics, it is not necessary to have a driving license or insurance. If the electric bicycle or conversion kit exceeds 250W or 25 km / h, the responsibility for its use on public roads depends on the cyclist.
And of course, although not mandatory, it is always advisable to wear a helmet to ride in any two-wheeled vehicle.
Can the electric bike be used if it is raining?
Even if it is possible to drive in the rain, it is advisable to dry the electrical components (regulator, battery and cables) with a dry cloth to reduce the risk of oxidation.
